Are we afraid of a little discussion. I happen be against exploiting the Canadian Tar Sands, so I agree and am glad to see a protest of this, not that it will do anything. I believe anything that will hinder tar sands development or export is probably a good thing. In a world where water is growing very scarce and we are filling up the atmosphere with CO2 we should be really getting serious about cutting back on exploiting hydrocarbons for energy.
I think we ought to be doing MORE with nuclear, but we cannot trust the people who are running the industry. We are in a pickle, but charging ahead in a bad way is not a good option.
