Midtown resident to receive 'Community Champion' honor

Midtown Palo Alto resident Annette Glanckopf Ashton will receive the 13th Senate District Community Champion award on Jan. 11 for her tireless work toward community disaster preparedness and bringing the community together, State Senator Jerry Hill's office has confirmed.

A GREAT choice!

Annette is, and has been for a long time, a hard working volunteer in many areas which contribute to the quality of life in Palo Alto from which we all benefit.

She certainly deserves this recognition, and many more.

I have worked with Annette on disaster preparation in Palo Alto for many years. She is tireless and unstoppable in her efforts to organize neighborhoods and prepare for disaster. This award is well deserved. Congratulations Annette.

Congratulations Annette!

I have worked with Annette on a couple of Public Art projects and she is a dynamo that gets things done. I am glad her hard work for emergency preparedness is being recognized. Everyone should be aware this is only one of the many services she has done for our community.

On behalf of the Utilities Department, I want to say YAY!!!!! You so deserve this!!! We cannot express often enough our great appreciation for all you do for this town. Palo Alto is lucky indeed.
