*Health Benefits stopped for future but not former part-timers for Palo Alto

I posted this earlier:
Here is an article about where some of our tax payer money is going
I am posting it here since the weekly will never do a story critical of those they supported for the city council.
Note that Palo Alto tax payers have paid the most money. Also note that yoriko got $22K in 2012 and Bernard Beecham got $16k. Also note that the council members in 2004, voted to no longer allow this benefit to future council members, but did not strip themselves of this perk.
Considering how much yoriko and Bernard " did" for the city during their tenures, they are really cashing in big time.
Perhaps gennady can tear himself away from writing congratulatory articles about the current council and look into this matter.

I heard about this elsewhere, but thanks for the specifics. Staggering! Taxpayers, are you OK with this nonsense? Part-time politicians cashing in.

Anonymous-- as. Noted in the article and my comment yoriko and the other council members could have easily removed that perk from their benefits. They chose not to. That says plenty about them. Pretty good payout for complaining about traffic for 8 years.
