Techie charged with Silicon Valley burglaries

An information-technology consultant has been charged with a string of Silicon Valley office burglaries that shut down business computer networks and might have cost companies millions of dollars in losses, the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office announced today, June 19.

So... It sounds like the guy got out of jail for burglaries in 2007 and, when released, started his consulting business right back up again and gaining access to his clients' data

Resident: If your personal information was compromised, the company it was stolen from is required to notify you, in California. I believe there is not a similar Federal statute.
