In the US, we have a problem with the right hand (government) not knowing what the left hand (business) is doing. Of course, this allows large corporations to get too big and too powerful. They have unlimited resources to retain the best attorneys, which allows them to bully anyone getting in their way (which is usually not the way it really is, just their paranoid perception of the facts).
Virtually every time my husband goes to Germany, another executive (or two) will ask him: Does the right hand STILL not know what the left hand is doing? It has made us the laughingstock of Europe.

Like: does the government still let folks smoke like chimneys in Germany and then wonder about all those lung related illnesses?
Germany does have it's act together on manufacturing, unionization, renewable energy and food labeling, though.
Label our food. Yes on 37.
