Thanks for a thorough (and richly photographed) look at this new restaurant.
Incidentally, for awareness of local restaurant history, this article surpassed the SF Chronicle by identifying Alexander's as a Cupertino enterprise. (Alexander's is that rare accomplishment, a successful original twist on a restaurant genre -- steakhouses -- that prides itself on avoiding originality.)
A recent Chron story on new Peninsula and South-Bay restaurants called The Sea "a seafood spin-off of [Alexander's] San Francisco and Cupertino restaurants." Geographically complete, but historically misleading -- like claiming Thomas Keller created renowned restaurants in "New York and Yountville." (He created a renowned restaurant in Yountville, then much later, on the strength of its success, a NYC spin-off -- much as Alexander's expanded to San Francisco in late 2010.)

We tried it, but the food was no more than just okay. The service really sucked though. To be fair, I will assume that due to the flu epidemic, several of their servers were out sick, because they were several short.
