It is well that McGovern never gained the presidency. It is well for his self image that he asked those questions in a forum where there would be no knowledgable answers, because the fatuity of most of them was easily demonstrated. While I honor his war service, I find his slap at Bush's service to be contemptible. I entered the military a bit younger than McGovern's entry and I did not have the comfort either of a warm bed every night or a fixed number of missions to end my combat time, but I would not demean his service the way he is free to demean that of Bush. I wonder - did they use oxygen all the time back then?

Thanks for posting the speech. In regards to the critic above, whose got somethin' to say about everthing, is that the best you cand do?
