Gunn Track Will Wrap Up Great Season

When Allegra Mayer crosses the finish line in the 3200 meters on Saturday night at the state meet in Fresno it will mark the end of one of the greatest girls' sports season in Gunn history.

Joining Mayer at Buchanan High School in Fresno this weekend will be Sunny Margerum (long jump), Allison Ang (pole vault) and Erin and Robinson (1600 meters).

The track team's second place Central Coast Section finish joins the girls' basketball squad that also finished second.

Earlier in the fall, the girls' cross country team earned a trip to the state meet with a third place finish and this winter the girls' soccer team reached the section semi finals.

All in all, it was a great year for Gunn girls.
