From raising 21 foster children to chairing the Stanford University Board of Trustees, this year's seven honorees in the Avenidas "Lifetimes of Achievement" award have done it all. Photos and videos by Veronica Weber/Palo Alto Weekly.

As a neighbor of Sharon's, I can add that the presence of the Hofstedt family has made our neighborhood feel very much like a close and caring community. What a blessing she is and what a lovely and loving family she has.
