Star Trek

It was a fun movie. Definitely not excellent, but exciting in a few spots and humorous. And I'm glad I saw it on a big screen. How could I not see our Photographer's Gallery exhibitor, Leonard Nimoy.

Lately movies are so fast moving and "appealing" visually and in some of the themes they portray that it is only afterward that one realizes what bad movies they are making today. I felt the Star Trek movie was even more exploitative of the Star Trek audience, and in doing so violated the prime directive of interfacing with the Star Trek past. I wanted the movie to be good, not just fast and slick. The cast was great, the plot stunk, the alternate time line stunk as well.
