City Wide Yard Sale - Zero Waste

Original post made by Resident on Apr 28, 2009

I contributed to a friend's yard sale at the Sunnyvale city wide event last weekend because she was collecting money for her pet charity. She made $200 and sold about a quarter of what she had. It is now going to garbage or goodwill. It was a great deal of effort for very little reward.

Many who did buy did it out of charitable reasons rather than needing the items. Those items will now be dumped in someone else's garage til the next yard sale.

Please do not call it zero waste, it is just spreading around waste.
