Hey Bush, We DID Torture Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by A Boomer, a resident of Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Apr 21, 2009 at 4:19 pm
Shrub asserted publicly when he was camping out at 1600 PENN that there was no torture under way. Public record, no dispute that he made such statements.
Cheney has publicly stated that he has no regrets about the torture conducted during the Shrub administration. He asserts it made America safer. One can agree or disagree with that assertion, but how does one reconcile Cheney admitting that there was torture with Shrub's contenttion to the contrary?
The recently released documents bear out what Cheney says--there was torture. They do not support or refute, Cheney's contention that the torture made the country safer, or that releasing them makes the country less safe.
What Cheney's post-office comments and the documents the Obama Administration have released reveal is that Shrub just plain out lied or was so delusional he was unfit for office.
Both actually did and was both IMHO. Good riddance. What a mop up job.
Have at it Gary, I will be interested how you spin this one.

Boomer,
I already stated a thread on this basic subject...reposnd to me there, since I have already invested some neurons in explaining this thing to those with barely two of them touching.

I, and possibly Cheney would welcome a trial on this issue. I would enjoy watching a few of these bleeding hearts try to function as jailers under the limitations they advocate.
