Are you looking for a home?

Original post made by Carol Blitzer, Palo Alto Weekly associate editor on Mar 23, 2009

I'd like to talk to real people who are looking to buy a home -- ideally who set out last year but got discouraged, didn't find what they wanted or otherwise put their search on hold. Now they're back in the game.
What are you finding? Have prices gone down/up? Is there much choice? Are sellers willing to negotiate? Are there multiple offers bidding prices up? Is it harder to qualify for a loan?
This story will be published in early April in the Weekly's Spring Real Estate special section, which covers real estate in Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos, Menlo Park, as well as Atherton, Portola Valley, Woodside and Los Altos Hills.
If you are willing to share with Weekly readers your story of looking for a home, please phone me at 650-326-8210, ext. 257, or e-mail me at cblitzer@paweekly.com.
