Buying a New Car
Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by resident, a resident of the Adobe-Meadows neighborhood, on Mar 19, 2009 at 11:13 am

People want to save money these days, it's understandable. You want to save for the thing that matter: retirement, college tuition for your kids, making the house payments. That's why buying a car might not be on the top of your list. Car sales are down and car dealers are making offers that could make your eyes pop. But still, you say, we already have one, it works fine and we don't need one.

So why is Obama forcing us all to pay for new cars? Web Link

"The supplier fund is the first direct action taken by President Obama’s auto task force to prop up the auto industry, which has suffered big losses from the steep decline in new-vehicle sales."

There's a reason people aren't buying cars, Mr. President. It's because we don't have the money and we don't want one. So why are you forcing us to buy one? What happened to freedom of simply keeping my own household finances intact?
