Gunn Girls Play NorCal Playoffs tonight in Chico
Schools & Kids, posted by Sports Reporter, a member of the Gunn High School community, on Mar 10, 2009 at 2:46 pm

Gunn Girls Play NorCal Playoffs tonight!!

For the Gunn Girls’ Basketball squad, long road trips might mean a 20 mile trip to San Jose. Tonight, they’ll multiply that factor by 10 as they will travel to Chico to take on Pleasant Valley in the first round of the NorCal Playoffs at 7:00 PM. “This will be a good experience for us,” said Gunn Head Coach Sarah Stapp. “Traveling 200 miles to play an outstanding team will be a great test for us.” Stapp knows that tonight’s game will be one of toughest her Lady Titans have ever faced.

“Pleasant Valley is a perennial power in the North Section,” said Stapp. “They’ve played in NorCal’s for the past four years and they’re experienced at this. For us, it’s our first time at the dance.”

The Lady Vikings of Pleasant Valley earned the home game with a 54-48 win over Chico in the North finals on Saturday.

GO TITANS!!!
