Paul, we all lost last November. Apparently, Chavez won. Enjoy $7 gas.

Paul.....and when did you "get over" that "your side" lost in 2000 and by an even greater margin in 2004?

Like Walter said..everyone won with Bush compared to the opposition candidates, and everyone lost with Obama, compared to the opposition candidate. They would have won with Obama if McCain had been a Communist I guess, but they lost with Obama since McCain was a Democrat-lite, ( think Zell Miller).

There is something good about this, though. Instead of a Republican continuing the slow deterioration of the American debt load (and therefore, economy,) under a Republican who would have done it more slowly than this by reaching "across the aisle" to please Democrats and the Media, we have a Democrat kid in a candy shop being puppeteered by Pelosi and Reid who are getting everything they ever thought they wanted... with no bipartisanship with the Republicans, which means the Dems GET ALL THE BLAME. He is the one who has managed to start bringing Republicans finally back to the basics of economic good sense, and providing the basis for the destruction of the Democrat party for a generation.

For the good of America, assuming we wake up in time before it is too late to recover, worth the short term severe pain for the long term gain, I guess. Let's just hope that when the Repubs regain power, they use it as well as the Dems have. Gotta admire the pure muscle "I won so I have a mandate to do it all my way" results!

By then most of the propoganda machine will be belly up also, and perhaps reborn to actually report the news, not further a political agenda.

20 months until the next Congressional election,

Don't miss out on the discussion!

Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund

For the last 23 years, the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund has given away more than $4 million to local nonprofits serving children and families. When you make a donation, every dollar is automatically doubled, and 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
