This money was spent by Bush and the Republicans ... maybe they should be tarred with the problem and made to pay for it - instead of trying to name it after Barack Obama. I am getting really sick of this kind of disinformational article. How about a little truth now and then, just for a change?

I am delighted to see the continued attempt by the delusional that somehow Bush is the one who just quadrupled our annual deficit with one signature.

And, of course, by the same logic, it is Bush and the Republicans who are continuing to destroy the economy every time they open their mouths.

This is Orwellian Newspeak at its finest.

I am not delighted to see people who are in denial that Bush did not have anything to do with the economic problems we now face. I don't get how that is possible. I don't hear much coming from the Republicans that are not always aimed at undercutting Obama, there is no ideological or rational basis behind Republican strategy lately except to direct money where it will do the most good for Republicans - and that is their over-riding motivation.

The only Bush and Republicans did NOT do while they were in office that would have prevented this economic morass was OVERTURN THE COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT ACT ..had they not backed down in the face of being called "lynchmen" and "racists" by Raines, Dodd, Frank and ACORN, who had on staff our current President, then we would not be in this mess.

So, don't worry, we Republicans know who started this fire, who fanned it, who didn't put it out, and who continues to fan it into a catastrophe.

Now, when are you going to acknowledge the problem? We are giving a drunk ever more booze, and the codependents keep telling the abstainers that it is their fault.

I note that the Obama supporters are very quiet.

What's up? Shame?

Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund

For the last 23 years, the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund has given away more than $4 million to local nonprofits serving children and families. When you make a donation, every dollar is automatically doubled, and 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
