Gunn Girls & Boys Basketball Seeded into Quarters

Gunn Teams Seeded into Quarters

An absolute phenomenal season for Gunn Basketball was reflected in today's seedings for the Central Coast Section Basketball Playoffs. Both teams were seeded into the quarterfinals of the Division II Playoffs.

This is the second year in a row that Gunn has achieved an automatic seeding as the girls were seeded second behind Mitty and the boys were seeded third behind St. Francis and Mitty.

Interestingly, both teams have a good shot at facing Mills in their quarterfinal game next Saturday. Both Gunn teams beat Mills earlier in the season.

However, Gunn boys may face Palo Alto as the Vikings would face Mills if they defeat underdog Sobrato on Tuesday night and then beat Mills.

On the girls side the Lady Titans will most likely face Mills next Saturday and if they can get past Mills, they are slated for another rematch against Presentation in the semifinals.

Congratulations to both teams AND their coaches. Both Coach Stepp and Coach Redfield deserve a ton of credit. This is the first DeAnza division title for both schools in a long time.

Where are the games?
