Obama Couldn't Be Cleared

Original post made by Samuel, Stanford, on Oct 17, 2008

"The harsh truth is that the United States is willing to accept presidential candidates like Barack H. Obama who could never gain a Top Secret clearance if he was simply a U.S. Army enlisted man.

Would McCain get that clearance considering his collaboration with enemies of the US during the Vietnam War days and his association with Cuban-American terrorists in recent times?

Do standing U.S. Sentors not receive top security clearance already?

Truth be told, I think the one who should be worried about a security clearance is Todd Palin, who was a memeber of a separatist organization that wanted to secede from the union.

This is really more of the same old, same old smear campaign that tries to paint Obama as unamerican because he has brown skin and a funny name.

Obama was pretty funny about his name at the Al Smith dinner--"Barack" was Swahili for "That One" and his middle name was obviously given to him by someone who never thought he'd run for president.

McCain was also quite funny. I think he'll be a lot happier when he can go back to being senator and getting along with people. This kind of dog-eat-dog campaigning brings out the worst in him. He doesn't have what he needs to win, but he's too competitive to be able to lose well.

From the article

It may be deemed unfair, but a child of an American mother and a foreign-born non-U.S. citizen father always receives additional scrutiny.
So does the fact that questions have arisen concerning the source of funding for Obama's law school education.
According to a well-researched article by Kenneth Timmerman see Web Link , Obama was assisted financially by Khalid al-Mansour through the latter's rich Saudi contacts.
Mansour has been referred to as a "Black Nationalist and a Black Muslim" who was a mentor to the founders of the radical Black Panther Party of the 1960s.

The Bin Laden's funded some of G. W. Bush's attempts at creating an oil business. Funny how he manages to hold onto a clearance.

This is bunk. Just another smear attempt.

As usual, the Palin-McCainanites have no idea what they are talking about. The President's eligibility for a security clearance is established by the highest authority in the land - the American people, through his election.

Just because someone says an article is "well researched" does not make it so. The article refers to the allegations surfacing in late March, when Sutton talked to a New York Cable Channel. What cable channel, and what date did this happen? Can the interview be viewed? Is there a transcript?

Let's talk about the real issues, like the current financial crisis, or health care.

Yep, election guarantees Obama a top-level security clearance.

Another non-issue, kiddos.
