The lastest issue of the Palo Alto Weekly saw a significant amount of content on real estate advertisement. One of the articles, apparently by Weekly staff, featured local mortgage loan professionals. In the article, there was recommendation of creative approaches to getting mortgage one would otherwise not able to get under the current credit crunch.
With respect to all involved, I feel it like offering poison to the sick. We are seeing the major index drop like a rock everyday for the past week, due to the exact same reason of blown up loans. How, in the world, would a serious newspaper like the Weekly, be putting up stuff like this? Yes everyone is free to offer advice and opinion. I just think this kind of strongly commercial articles hurt the credibility of the paper itself----who in the world would be eager to get a huge mortgage loan right now?!
BTW, why are the loan agents offering the advice selling their homes right now?
It is also an insult to the readers IMO...
