Obama's Ads Shown More Negative Than McCain Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by Who's more negative?, a resident of the Triple El neighborhood, on Sep 18, 2008 at 3:02 pm
This is from the CS Monitor, probably the most unbiased newspaper in America; it's pretty damning.
Mccain is closing, extending leads, or tied in swing states like Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Virginia and many others...i'm not voting for Mccain, but stop kidding yourself with these amateur polling groups, look at the best polling groups, like this one

I have nothing against negative, attack ads - if they're honest. I want to see a fight. Staying positive and high-minded would be ideal, but after the past two elections where Bush and allies managed to make "swift-boat" into a new term for destroying your opponent with lies and innuendo, I'm ready to see a Democrat on the attack. Preemptive strike. Bush Doctrine, baby!

I'd like to see some truthful ads about McCains role in Keating Five and the relevence of the S&L crisis of 1989 to today's current events on wall street. But even more than ads, which are definitely bias, I'd like to see some in depth reporting on this important history lesson.
Notice how they are saying now that they are considering creating an entity like the Resolution Trust Corp. which was the organization that was set up to overhaul and derisk the S&Ls as a direct outcome of the S&L crisis at that time.
So the lessons of this event in history are absolutely relevent right now. Its time for a history lesson.

Who's more,
There's a lag time between national polls and state polls. The state polls are still showing McCain's convention bounce.
Obama's ahead nationally in the major polls except for Rasmussen, where he's tied. His "negative" ads are ads that have called McCain on his lies. They may be negative, but they're also completely legit.

FYI: For Spanish speakers in state's where Obama's absurd Ad is airing, claiming that Rush Limbaugh said stuff like "You're stupid" and "Shut up"..please note that Obama is insulting your ability to research, and even your intelligence to figure out the truth.
Rush gave 2 impassioned pleas...one to the elites on both sides of the aisle who are exploiting illegal immigrants for their own purposes..and then said that THEY BELIEVE you are too stupid to figure out what they are doing ( as Obama is proving now with this ad)...the other was after a long list of MEXICAN laws which tell anyone who is not Mexican and wants to live in Mexico such things as it is illegal to demonstrate carrying your country of origin's flag, there are no government ANYTHING in any foreign language, foreigners are not allowed to own land ( just lease from the government), immigrants have to invest the equivalent of 40,000 times a minimum day's wage in the country in order to stay..etc. In other words FOREIGNERS "SHUT UP".
This Ad was absolutely breathtaking, and I am sure it will come back and slam Obama. Americans who are from Mexico will recognize this kind of sleaze from their old PRI party, and see right through it.
