What about Mark Hurd?
Crimes & Incidents, posted by anonymous coward, a resident of the Evergreen Park neighborhood, on Oct 4, 2006 at 11:12 pm

Hurd presided over this mess. His PR people, Barron's and the business press are spinning him away from responsibility for letting this happen on his watch. Sad. At the very least, Hurd should step down, or be given a vote of no confidence by the board - which probably won't happen because he now Chair's the board.

Hurd is not off the hook yet. California will pursue civil charges against HP, and possibly criminal charges against Hurd and others.

Bringing Dunn and the others in first is a brilliant move, as the AG can promise immunity or reduced sentencing to extract more about Hurd's involvement.

How and why Hurd is still there dumbfounds me. The HP spin machine is quite good, as Hurd has disappeared to let the dust settle. It's stunning to see how HP has sunk so far, so fast, in terms of image.

They still make great products, and would continue to do so without Hurd.
