Palo Alto Relay for Life on August 16th
Around Town, posted by Suzy Bausch, a resident of another community, on Jul 25, 2008 at 5:10 pm

On August 16th, Palo Alto is hosting its 3rd annual Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society. As in previous years, participants will have at least one team member walking the track for 24 hours, from 10am to 10am, to symbolize that the battle against cancer never stops.

The event is a chance for all members of the community to come together to fight back against cancer, and support the ACS in its mission to provide education, patient services and conduct research to find a cure for cancer.

On the day of the event, there will be live music, food, and games for kids, along with information about cancer prevention. The teams will set up camp in the quad of Paly High, lending a festive atmosphere to the whole event. Members of the community are encouraged to come out and support the relayers as they take their laps.

For more information on how to get involved, please contact Aimee Williams at aimee.williams@cancer.org or 408.204.0988.
