Poor policy vision has kept us tied to oil. Here's another price for that poor vision.

History has many examples of nations who were the low-cost producer moving up the food chain. America was once the low-cost manufacturing site, Japan after WWII. If a nearby producer can undercut China because of transportation costs, they will just shift their product mix.
