According to Director of Planning & Community Environment Curtis Williams,

"The project is in the building permit review process. I don't know the

timeframe for when they might pull their permits and begin construction."

I heard they were moving to the Stanford Shopping Center. I don't know whether that is true or not.

There is a large area in T&C that has been cleared facing Embarcadero that I'm told is for Trader Joe's. So maybe they really are going to build there. I suppose one could call the owner of the shopping center to ask. That would be too easy.

Yippee! There is a sign posted at T & C on the Embarcadero side which states that Trader Joe's will open there in Spring 2009.

Waiting, I was there the other day and spoke with a construction supervisor. He said it could be 2009, 0r 2010. Either way, it's coming.
