Daily News Editorial re: PACT
Palo Alto Issues, posted by Bye Bye Briggs, a resident of Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Jun 16, 2008 at 12:59 pm

The Daily News yesterday had an excellent editorial regarding the PACT scandal and the shameful behavior of our city council:

A particular point worth noting from the editorial:

"But asking an auditor to probe the police's conduct without specifying what misconduct they expect to find is tantamount to a witch-hunt and hints at demagoguery. "

This is so true and appears to be the method that Morton and Klein, together with Friends of PACT (whether they are coordinating their efforts or not is another issue that needs to be looked into) have chosen to discredit the police.

It seems that only Councilmember Yeh had the stomach to vote no--the rest of the council was either snowballed by Morton/klein or, as per our council, were too scared to stand up to a vocal minority.

Shame on our city council (except for Yeh) and double shame on Morton and Klein. they are a disgrace to our city.
