BattleStar Galactica Comes to Palo Alto

Come discuss the "theology" of Battlestar Galactica, and its perspective on the opposition between Polytheism and Monotheism.

7:30pm on Tue., June 3, Rabbi Ari Cartun will present a talk and lead a discussion among BSG fans.

LMAO. Reminds me of the Matrix books on philosophy.

There are other important themes in BSG as well, like political ones which are just as interesting.

Knowing Ari, he won't shy away from the political topics either. He is an amazing presenter too. It should be interesting!

The explosion of nuclear wastes that threw the moon out of orbit, and the lights around the pilot helmets that illuminated the actor faces but would have killed any night vision, and the androids with their oscilating red eye - camp before it really got going. The cigar smoking was an interesting anachronism, though.
