La Belle Day Spa overcharging customers

Original post made by Richard on Apr 3, 2008

We scheduled a couples massage for valentines and foudn that we were sent home in far less time than we paid for. So who else feels that they have been overcharged by La Belle Day Spa? Any experience with them price skimming or cheating you on their already overpriced time? Speak up.

It is quite unfortunate that you were unsatisfied with your services at LaBelle. Did you bring your concerns to the spa's manager? From the feedback that we receive, our clients love the couple's massage and feel that they receive excellent attention, facilities and care!

i'm just curious which spa you went to? The one at Stanford or the Palo Alto Square? I think they do a [pretty crummy job on everything, not to mention most of the front desk staff is rude (at Stanford at least) Go to Juut...you will definitely get great service.

Anytime I need to relax I go to Watercourse Way in downtown Palo Alto. The atmosphere is incredible and the staff is friendly. Prices are a bit on the high side, but it's worth it for the occasional pampering.

Thanks for the tip Danny. Do you know where I can go to get a good brow wax?

You mean you pay someone to tweeze your eyebrows? Can't believe it.
Maybe it is a joke I didn't get. Maybe the signature should be me me me.

Me: Unfortunately I don't. There is a place on University Avenue in downtown Palo Alto (not far from Border's Books) that does waxing, tweezing, etc. They're pretty good, although I've only been there once when my girlfriend thought it would be fun to get me a pedicure. And, to be fair, it was kind of fun.
