Classic Communities
Palo Alto Issues, posted by WantsToKnow, a resident of the Palo Verde neighborhood, on Aug 28, 2006 at 8:33 am

Classic Communities has a proposal to build condos/single family homes at the intersection of Loma Verde and BayShore ... it was pending with the city. There were resident organizations that were opposing this / some were for this construction.

Does anyone know what the final decision was ? ( Please don't send me to the city website which will give me a 100 page document regarding this - I can never figure out the legal jargon - all I want is a yes or no answer and if yes, the proposal went through - then the timeframe when the construction will start )

Thanks !

Yes, it was approved, but I don't know the timetable for construction. The Palo Verde resident association has that information, I think. Go to groups.yahoo.com and type "Palo Verde" in the search box.

Yes, City Council approced the plans to build 96 condominium units at 3270 West Bayshore on June 19, 2006. The applicant is currently going through the process of having the land legally sub-divided. Construction is not expected to begin until late 2007 at the earliest, as the applicant will still need to obtain the necessary building permits, etc.
