Vantage signs are graffitte littering Palo Alto. Palo Alto Issues, posted by Alan, a resident of the Greenmeadow neighborhood, on Jan 13, 2008 at 8:10 pm
While driving around Palo Alto, a see signs taped to light poles and bus stop sign posts all over the city, advertising "Vantage". This is graffiti from one of the developers and it has got to stop. I would like to know the following.
A) Can we sue the developer doing this to make them stop.
B) Can we take down these signs and drop them off in the developers office to they can dispose of them properly. (They become litter after they fall of the posts.)

With regard to the Vantage signs posted on City property, I would talk to a Code Enforcement Officer to see if they are posted with the approval of the City.

These are temporary signs usually put there by a service only on weekends and removed Sunday night. This is just the usual part of doing business for developers and how they "guide" people in to their community. When they close out, the signs stop. It's all temporary and not a permanent "blight" on the community. If you were having a garage sale, you'd want to guide people to your home as well. Live and let live. There's so much else to be concerned with than some little sign on a tree or bus stop.
