Election Fever premature

Original post made by Bored, Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Jan 9, 2008

The next ten months promises no let ups on what the media have presented us with for the last ten months, and in particular the last ten days. How anyone can be savvy enough to decide now who they will think will make it in November is like gazing into a crystal ball, yet the polls go on and on and they are proving to be wrong. How anyone can decide who to vote for at this stage is hard enough considering that ten months is a long time in politics.

I am with you. Ignore the media, study the candidates, make your vote regardless of what the "hype" is so that you aren't a little sheep trying to follow a crowd, and move on with life.

It doesn't matter what anybody else votes, it matters what EACH of us votes.

Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund

For the last 23 years, the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund has given away more than $4 million to local nonprofits serving children and families. When you make a donation, every dollar is automatically doubled, and 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
