What are the names of these 100 drivers? we need to know, publish them
Also what is the status of the double homicide DUI case that killed 2 Palo Alto girls in Santa Barbara recently. the driver, Beau Robertson is also from Palo Alto, what is the status of his case?
I would actually like to know the demographics of these 100 people.
I am not interested in race, but age would be very interesting. Also, I would like to know if these were Palo Alto residents, or PA workers who are resident elsewhere. If they were people who were resident elsewhere and also worked elsewhere, were they here socializing with PA residents who encouraged them to drink and drive. This sort of information is much more useful than just the plain number 100.
Please publish these names; better yet, bring back pillories in the public square (two hour time limit) for those who unnecessarily endanger others by drinking when they drive.
I would like to know what percent were taken at roadblocks and what percentage were taken after observation of erratic driving.
there were no roadblocks/checkpoints during the holidays.
Happy to hear that - I always felt an officer patrolling was a better use of staffing.
In Chicago, the police publishes the name and photo of those using prostitutes. I think that is a fantastic idea.
The DUI, which in my opinion, is a much more serious offense, should have the same treatment.
I am interested in seeing this list. Not to feed or create prejiduces, but to know if anyone in my circle needlessly puts others' lives in danger.
Good work PA police!
Why do people feel the need to know the names of those that were arrested for DUI's? What ever happened to privacy? Why do people want to abolish privacy in this world?
As I understand it is a matter of public record, but in the spirit of not getting sued out of their shorts any publicity must wait for conviction.
Don't miss out on the discussion!
