Christmas Time
Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by michael casey, a resident of the Palo Alto Hills neighborhood, on Dec 14, 2007 at 10:52 am

The Christmas Season is upon us, I saw my first two Christmas plays from my infants. One did a Nativity Play, my 4 year old was a shepherd we watched and listened in the school hall. One of the carols rung out,a tear came to my eye. I never never never though I'd be married and have a family, just a few years ago. And now I have 2 kids, and the prettiest wife in town, all the way from Shanghai China, we met in the seniors home where my dad went to live after surviving a fatal heart attack just 8 weeks after my mum had died.He survived and lived long enough to hold my eldest girl in his arms. So at this time as I look at my beautiful children I thank God for such blessings, children. My girls believe me when I tell them that Santa is a close personal friend, he stops by on the roof garden of the building where I work. The raindeer eat the plants and Santa has a hot chocolate with me then uses the mens room before he is up up and away, Rudolf's nose guiding him past Saint Phillips cathedral in central Birmingham England. These simple things I share with my girls and you can share with your children too. So have a great Christmas in Palo Alto from Michael Casey in a foggy Birmingham England
