What happened to the 88 bus this morning? Around Town, posted by a driver, a resident of the Palo Verde neighborhood, on Nov 6, 2007 at 9:14 am
I drove down Louis Rd. and Charleston Rd. this morning at about 7:35 and saw a half dozen or more students at every bus stop, waiting to be picked up. They were looking anxiously up the street, and many were on their cell phones. Several groups had already given up and were walking to school.
There are usually two busses between 7:15 and 7:30. At least until the 88 service is cancelled in January, many students count on these busses to get them to school.

How about the PA Shuttle that is suppose to be at Jordan at around 3:00 PM and many times arrives after 4:00 PM, leaving children anxious as well? There was one day last week that many of the kids figured out a way to go back home by calling their parents/other, but one kid was left alone, and, again, this is a safety issue!!!

Just to add to the discussion, I have just seen two buses, route 88, one behind the other on Louis Road by Palo Verde school. This was at 3.50 and at least one of them appeared to be dropping off Gunn students. I don't know if one was late or one was early, but two buses together is ridiculous. I mean, one behind the other, no cars inbetween!!.
