Does anyone know more about the "schools only" VTA bus system that runs in Menlo Park? I have heard that VTA busses operate between the schools so that kids can walk to their neighborhood elementary school and hop a bus to middle school. I think they have to pay for this like they would a regular city bus, but the benefit is that it seem safer for kids. I would love to learm more about this. Is seems like a sensible way to cut down on school traffic and encourage kids to find safe alternatives cars.
