Monster building will cause too much traffic
Palo Alto Issues, posted by Too much traffic, a resident of Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Oct 31, 2007 at 9:17 am

What gives with this proposed new giant, out of place monster building?

Web Link

Won't it create too much traffic?

Isn't the old building considered to be historic?

And if JJ&F should close the poor residents of College Terrace will only have tow other grocery stores in the area to walk to.

The traffic will always be with us. In fact, this may generate less traffic or less longer trips for local residents. We need more retail and less trips to Mountain View, Menlo Park, or wherever to spend our money.

ps Grocery stores are rarely places we walk to as groceries tend to be too heavy to carry. Ever tried carrying a gallon of milk half a mile?

Too much traffic, you are paranoid about "too much traffic". Traffic brings retail customers to Palo Alto which is what we want. This is a great development and a definite improvement on what is there now. Come on guys lets move forward into the 21st Century, quit complaining about the traffic.
