Posted by Great Example of self-selecting data, a resident of the Midtown neighborhood, on Oct 22, 2007 at 6:50 am

Though this is a fun thing to do, it is a great example of a self-selecting, meaningless results "poll", which happens so often.

700-ish showed up, out of all the counties..How many millions are we? So, who is most likely to take the time to show up?

But, in any case, though it means nothing for the end results, it is a fun thing to read.
