Psychiatrist who molested boys is jailed

Dr. William Ayres was a former president of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He had treated pediatric patients from the 1960s to 2006, and evaluated hundreds of cases in San Mateo County juvenile court going back to the 1970s.

Wonder how many other people operating under the seal of authority of their profession have been abusing children? Maybe its time to require these sorts of professionals to record their sessions, and give the patients' parents access to the tapes?

I once read a book about psychiatry, called "The Road Less Travelled". In it the author asserted that at least 60% of psychiatrists were scheisters who did more harm than good. One is better off flipping a coin!

Shouldn't psychiatrists be required to identify their sexual identification, before allowing them to 'treat' those children that they are attracted to? Then leave it up to the parents.
