5,200-acre fire to double by evening

Original post made by Sue Dremann on Sep 4, 2007

The raging fire at Henry W. Coe State Park near Morgan Hill has burned 5,200 acres and may double in size later Tuesday, according to Cal Fire officials. The fire has destroyed one outbuilding and threatens 10 residences in the remote area. More than 700 fire personnel, seven air tankers and four helicopters are battling the blaze, which is 10-percent controlled.
