JCC to hold Mitzvah Day for community service

The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center will hold its sixth annual Mitzvah Day on Monday, Jan. 21, to commemorate both the Jewish spirit of doing a "mitzvah" (good deed) and the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

JCC, Can you please take down those advertising banners on your building.

I understand they may have been needed for a grand opening but its time to remove them please.

Gus, get over it. The banners stay. Time to find another issue to whine about. Funny how we hear constant complaints about the JCC, but other advertisements are fine

No comments here yet about the article itself. Maybe I'll head on down a week from Monday and see what kind of Baylands clean-up projects they have in mind.

Nevermind. I just noticed the final sentence: "Advance online registration is required."

Baylands clean-up and several other activities are already fully subscribed. Never thought I'd see a case of too many volunteers. Looks like a sign of excellent leadership.
