DUI arrests down over holiday weekend

Over the Christmas holiday weekend, DUI arrests were down, but fatal collisions were up in the Bay Area from a year ago, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Fewer DUI arrests and more DUI fatalities means the cops aren't working hard enough. How many of the casualties are innocent victims?

Please read the article - it didn't say the fatalities were due to DUI, just road accidents.

It didn't say that the accidents didn't involve drugs or alcohol either. As far as I can see that is yet to be determined. Many accidents do involve compromised drivers so I wouldn't be surprised if at least some of the accidents involve impaired drivers. Hey, y'all...just don't drink and drive. I am wondering why the other alcohol related article posted in PA Online tells you where and when the sobriety checkpoints are. This always amazes me to see detailed info about these checkpoints before the fact.
