An East Palo Alto man who is charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting at a vehicle on U.S. Highway 101 faces 11 more felonies after a court in San Mateo County granted a prosecution motion for the additional charges Wednesday.

Of course he belongs in jail, but the "three counts of using a weapon of mass destruction" charge sounds a bit over the top. He used a handgun, not nuclear weapons.

@Carlitos: I agree that this guy sounds like a menace and I hope he's locked up for a very long time. But, what evidence is there that this is an issue for ICE? The article did not say he was in the country illegally. He may well have been born in California.
