A meaningless number unless you compare it to the cost of not-war. I see Saddam's Mamas are raging again. Interesting to see senior women advocating Sharia and subservience. From what I've seen, a Burkah might inprove most of them.

Walter, I am a woman who completely supported going into Iraq ( and Afghanistan, of course)..I figured that even if the WMD had been spirited away by the time the 6 months of warning had passed, at least the massacres/genocide of the Shias would stop and women and gays would get a VOTE..and develop hope for the future of Iraq.

Trust me, a lot of us women understand that we would RATHER live in Iraq today than in Iraq 10 years ago.

Don't let the constant noise of the leftist ladies make you think most women think that way. They give us tough old broads a bad name.

By the way, I would be fascinated to ask these same women if they believe we should go into Darfur and stop the genocide there...most leftists say "yes", without any idea at how schizophrenic their opinions are. It is all in how you frame it.

I suspect they might suggest that those wuss UN members who chickened out on Kuwait/Iraq might share the burden of peaemaking elsewhere in the world the way the UN was supposed to work. Where are the nations of the religion of peace when there is need on their own continent? What? They are the Janjaweeds? Who'da thunk it.

Perhaps, like their predecessors who offered to shield Saddam, these Grannies could go to Darfur and rage against the Janjaweed. Like the Grannies, geese are noisy and irritating but at least they eat bugs.
