The Omnishambles of Patraeus and Benghazigate

Original post made by The wool is not being pulled over my eyes on Nov 13, 2012

I know the American press and in fact all media worldwide like sex scandals, but please stop looking at this as a sex scandal and start seeing it as a game of politics.

gimmee a break

Lots of women like a strong general, it happens.

You were better off with the Sandy theory that it was caused by Obama to hurt Mitt in the week before the election.

Or go back to birth certificates.

The wool ain't getting pulled over our eyes...

... but the tinfoil hat is slipping down some foreheads!!!!

The fringe is still hurting after their guarentee of a Rmoney landslide failed to happen. Birtherism won't work anymore. The tea party is dead, having personally handed the democrats 5 senate seats that should have been gop.

They got nothing, do trying to manufacture a new fast and spurious Lscandal" to pump up foxes ratings.

If you are going to take up the time and space to make a post, put some actually thought into it please, not a provocative condescending one-liner!

Poor Fox News. Totally had the wingnuts bubble burst with Fast and Furious, birth certificates, and finally, the one thing they can't lie about - the election results and the Obama mandate.

So they make up new conspiracy theories to keep the Fox sheeple wildly spinning off into the right wing alternate reality.

So sad they can't live in a fact based world.

What's the fuss?

Did he not sleep with his author?

I saw her on The Daily Show. Go watch it. She's, ummmmm, interesting...

Benghazigate? Fox is really trying hard now they know they're stuck with an Obama lanslide for 4 more years.

Pathetic. Unpatriotic when we have so much to do.

The omnishambles gets worse, and the press is lapping it up. Why aren't they investigating the 141% turnout in one precinct in Florida? Is it because there is no sex involved?

Sex scandals will always get the press coverage whereas real news gets ignored.

How will the press cover the Benghazi hearings? Sex will hit the headlines and Benghazi will be a footnote once again.

What news? There is no There, there. just a bunch of whacko right wingers fluffing each other.

Still too frustrated with the reality of a Romney landslide being another Fox fantasy that they fell for.

@wool not being pulled: a simple question...

Do you feel in your heart that President Obama is an American?

Simple question, just let us know (hint - we already do!)

Here is a non Fox article showing that the press are beginning to take note.

Web Link

If this is really just about a sex scandal, why didn't it come out before the election?

Obama is as American as he wants to be, but his Islam roots may not be. I don't care about his birth certificate, but I do care about his worry about what feelings he has deep down in his heart (hint, so should you).

Here is another non Fox news article beginning to ask questions.

Web Link Interesting that this article says that adultery is illegal for the military.

Thinking minds dig deeper than the headlines, so should you.

Wool says "Obama is as American as he wants to be, but his Islam roots may not be."

There we go, direct from Beck, Rush and the alternate reality set on Fox. They trained you well, Wool, and have that tin foil pulled directly down over your eyes.

No facts. Just a bunch of dumb Fox rhetoric, falsehoods and innuendo masked as "questions". McCarthy would have loved you.

Last Tuesday night must have really hurt.

There are a lot of websites that show your group when the moment hit. Web Link

And this Web Link

Can't face it, can you? Have to fight back the only way you know how:

Lie. And claim the president is un-American.

Then there are the real traitors among the fringe -- those un-American right wing traitors that want to secede: Web Link

Line them up in front of a squad..... after their trial, of course.

God Bless America.

And the Obama landslide that will save it from the fringe lunatics.

And CNN are beginning to dig deeper too.

Web Link

Tin, you don't know me at all. You don't know my motives. Likewise, I don't know you, but I wish you would start asking some deeper questions.

Tin

The web links you posted are not news articles searching deep, just some pictures and fluff.

How about reading some in depth reports and trying to look below the surface.

How about some doing some research rather than name calling.

"The wool is not being pulled over my eyes"

It doesn't have to be pulled; it's always been there.

Give in to reality. That Black Guy gets four more years in The White House. Period. And there won't be another Kevin Starr writing a porn piece fronted as an investigative report. [Portion removed by Palo Alto Online staff]

Wooly: If something stinks and starts looking like a fish, maybe because it is fishy.

Then go fishing.

Because you have no facts in your grand conspiracy. Your posts are indeed quite fishy.

You hate Obama, can't even bring your self to admit in an anonymous forum that he as an American, and are obviously bitter.

But the liberals in the great state of California and here in the Bay Area are glad to have you! You remind us of the strange types in the South that want to secede from America.

Did you vote for anyone at the state or national level that actually won on Tuesday? Anyone?

Wooly hasn't voted for a winner in years. Fox derangement syndrome.

Great links of all the fox sheep having a big sad last week. Maybe a few will open their eyes and read a newspaer now.

The Washington Post literally – and I mean literally – buries this detail in a profile of Jill Kelley – "a Tampa resident who poured her energies into throwing lavish parties for and hobnobbing with area military brass" – on its site today:

A military officer who is a former member of Petraeus's staff said Kelley was a "self-appointed" go-between for Central Command officers with Lebanese and other Middle Eastern government officials.

The clot thickens

I am accused of being upset by the election results - never mentioned any of that.

I am accused of being narrow minded and not reading newspapers - duh??

I have looked at the links proved above of pictures, fluff piece and crank ideas about secession. On the other hand, I have provided links to articles from CNN, ABC and the BBC, all questioning the events and mentioning the links to Benghazi and the hearings. Have any of you who are critical of me actually read my links? Do you realise how odd it sounds telling me to go fishing for facts and to read newspapers when that is exactly what I have been doing?

Why am I the one who is narrow minded when I am the one who has been open minded enough to read articles and find out what is being said, when all my critics are just calling me names? Perhaps attack is the only form of defence here, but the attacks on me are unfounded since I am the one with questions which the media is not answering. (or just beginning to).

If my critics would stop calling me names and start thinking straight, they may see my point.

I am the one who is searching for facts because I don't have any. If my critics can find some facts to show me by recognised news agencies (I don't mind if you use Fox or not) I will read them. Otherwise, my case is closed. (unless the media produces more news worthy of being discussed).

The issue has become a broader matter of dual citizens from Lebanon, Israel, KSA etc attempting to influence and intimidate US Military Generals.

The DNI/DoD will now come down very hard on dual citizens of Israel, Lebanon, KSA etc-

to protect fundamental interests and isolate such real and potential foreign agents

About time-enough is enough of these foreign agents acts against US interests

"I am the one who is searching for facts because I don't have any."

Yup. There is no story there. Benghazi was an attack on an embassy, just like the dozen that happened during Bush. Nothing there.

Patreaus cheated and got caught. He quit. Nothing there.

Fishing expedition by the loony fringe right.

But good thing you posted all this and finally admitted you had no facts.

btw: you never answered... when was the last time you voted for somone who won a national office?

2004?

Tin

You are right, I didn't answer your question.

Sorry to disappoint you. I didn't vote the way you think I did.
