Just found out that what Calafia has been promoting as grass fed beef is not. It is corn finished. Big difference. Truly disappointing.

Never felt the love for Calafia, as much as I wanted. Twice found dried food on my silverware. Food wasn't as tasted as it was touted to be. Maybe ordered the wrong items? But reading the above comment is an eye-opener.

As a vegetarian and health nut, I love the food at Calafia. But the service, the atmosphere, and the extremely uncomfortable furniture all need improving. So after the third time I tried to make reservations In person during the mid-afternoon and was told to go home and call in a reservation after 5:30, I stopped going there. I go to Greens in Fort Mason in SF instead. Better food, better presentation, better atmosphere, far, far better service. Well worth the drive.
