Stanford tennis history rich with NCAA moments

Dick Gould set about building a national championship-caliber program from the moment he took over the Stanford men's tennis program from Robert Renker, the winningest coach in the program's history at the time, in 1967.

i knew roscoe well..& thought it was funny that he outsmarted some for awhile...not smart enuff to really get away, & we played in Quarters of NCAA's at U. of Utah in '70 & could not break serve, he won in 2 tie breaks, not funny 4 me...i studied criminal law & taught Sally Ride, thinking..hey, is this my claim to fame...oh, one more thing...legalize pot!!!!!
