What is the gold dome on the Laning Chateau?
Around Town, posted by im curious, a resident of the Downtown North neighborhood, on Jul 26, 2012 at 11:22 am

I just posted a Palo Alto question when this one occurred to me, too. What is that gold dome on top of the Laning Chateau apartment building on Forest? Is there some great apartment under there, or what?

I've wondered that myself … what I've heard is that it is a water tank, but I have no data to back that up. Maybe it's a radar dome or a transmitter to an alien world! Good question. you can see a good picture of it in Google Maps.

What's the other one, across the street from Laning? It's neato, also.
