a Palo Alto resident for Vice President?
Palo Alto Issues, posted by condi, a resident of Stanford, on Jul 13, 2012 at 3:05 pm

Over the last couple of days, the Romney campaign has been floating the name of Condi Rice for Romney's Vice Presidential candidate. Extreme right wing conservatives are pushing back because they question her positions on civil rights, gay rights, abortion rights, and womens rights. On the other hand, Sarah Palin has come out in support of Condi Rice.

Is Condi a good candidate? Certainly, she can't be any worse than Sarah Palin or Dick Cheney or Dan Quayle. One heartbeat away from the presidency.

Condi would be great. Would you like to know why?

On tape, seven little words.

She would be perfect.

I'm sorry, I was in error, I thought there was an abbreviation. It was in fact nine words, that make Condi perfect as a VP candidate.

Condi should stick to playing tennis and playing the piano.

@Condi's great: What words are those?

Nine words make Ms Rice the perfect candidate, but not for Governor Romney; nine words from the 9/11 commission transcript:

- BEN-VENISTE: Isn't it a fact, Dr. Rice, that the August 6 PDB warned against possible attacks in this country? And I ask you whether you recall the title of that PDB?

- RICE: I believe the title was, "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States."

She was our 20th National Security Adviser and read a report to the President called "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States." Then he stayed on vacation in Crawford.

Immediately disqualifies her. She was an abject failure as the NSA. Likeable, smart and all that. A USSR expert. Talented. But she failed to get the President's attention, even with all the warnings. Somehow she got promoted and during her tenure as NSA and SecState, two of America's longest wars were launched.

As I said, not qualified. A perfect choice.

For the opposition.

CNN says Romney is floating Condi's name as a cynical response to getting booed during his NAACP speech: Web Link

But is reminding the country of the failed Bush administration really a good idea?

Condi's pro-choice, so she's toast with the GOP base. Then there's her Obamaesque skin.

Obama is only 49.5% black. Dr. Rice is 100% black.

Dr. Rice is still a winner.

@Walter_E_Wallis:

Another "While I can site irrelevant facts I don't have to give any reasons" oracular revelation ex cathedra from WEW.
