Report: East Palo Alto business district plan must 'get it right'

East Palo Alto's planned 4 Corners/Ravenswood Business District is the last area the city can develop to create jobs and revenue and improve the quality of life for its residents. And the city has to "get it right" because there is no other major commercial area to develop, a new study by the Washington, D.C.-based Urban Land Institute has found.

The plan has no details, no investors, and no funding other than what EPA can come up with. I'm amazed that it is considered a 'plan'. I wonder how much the consultants were paid for it.

Good points in the comment above. I've not kept up w/this development. I did think that there were investors involved, based on what I read approx 2-3 years ago. But I could be wrong, and/or they pulled out.

In more positive news, Cooley Landing Park opens next month! They have a good Facebook page is you haven't checked it out.
