While walking my 15 lb. Bichon, Lulu, she was attacked and badly bitten by a 25-35 lb, short blond haired dog being walked by two women. The incident occurred on Sunday 5/13 on Edgewood Dr. In my panic, I neglected to get the owner's name and hope she will come forward.

Robert, I'm very sorry. It's not uncommon during this type of thing to not get the person's info. Is your dog okay? Do you know if animal control has been informed? You'd think that these women would've come forward already...especially if it wasn't there fault, but even if it was.

Every time I walk by a dog, but mostly out by the Bay or in parks I have to worry that there is a slight chance the owner is an idiot and does not know or care to train or have the strength or coordination to control their dog or dogs. There are a lot of people out there that do not have the good judgement to evalulate their dog's threat to other people. Blindly people say my dog would is gentle as a lamb and would not hurt a flea - famous last words.
Because of this I think dogs should be banned from most parks and especially parks like the Baylands where there cannot be adequate response or supervision of people and thier dogs.
